Once upon a time….

Welcome to the Pudel Haus!

This site is all about our amazing puppies, but in case you want to know a thing or two about the human behind the scenes, this is the place. My name is Kathy Moore but here I am Gramma, also known as Head Zookeeper, kisser of Boo boos, snuggler, trainer, feeder and scooper!  But, do not be mistaken, I am not in this alone!  Along with my faithful brown eyed side-kicks, we strive to have healthy, happy, well adjusted puppies that can ace whatever their new families throw at them!  Whether your interest lies in conformation, agility, obedience, service, therapy or a good snuggle buddy, we have it covered!

You  are probably wondering how this madness started!  Well, my first dog was a Cocker by the name of Trixie!  From there, my paw fetish evolved!  Spent many a year with Brittanys and Welsh Springers and still love those two breeds.  But, in 2000, my mind and my heart found just what it was looking for!  Sampson!  A big 6 yo blue that was obnoxious, conceited, stubborn, bossy and a class act counter and cabinet surfer!  More than once I found myself wondering if this dog was more human than me!  Little did I know how this amazing creature would rock my world!  He was perfect!!

Ah, but it didn’t stop with Sam!  Enter, stage left, Ms. Breezy!  A total opposite from Sam!  She had been kept in a pen for  all of her 3 years, never groomed, never socialized, not  potty trained and didn’t know how to eat out of a bowl!  Yikes!  Thank God for Sam!  He taught her she was safe, how to use the dog door and how to eat like a lady.  Now, it was my turn! I coaxed, talked sweet and tried every day for 3 weeks to get her to at least sniff my fingers.  No luck!  All I got was a snarl!  Time to bring out the big guns!  I dressed in my finest Carhart bibs and jacket, leather gloves on my hands and a scarf wound around my neck!  Armed with a moving blanket, I cornered Breezy, scooped her up and rocked, petted and snuggled for 2 hours!  Thank the heavens that worked!!  From that day forward, she became my 55# lap dog and constant companion!  Breezy turned into the family clown!  If you weren’t laughing, she wasn’t happy!

My journey with these two was amazing!  But, even more so on September 29th, 2001 at 3 am, we were blessed with 7 adorable healthy babes!  Yep, I was pushed over the edge and into poodle madness!  The rest is history!

Even though Sam, Breezy and all of their babes are now part of my Heavenly Herd, my love and journey continues with other curly haired fluffy tailed loves!  Feel free to join us!

May you all be blessed!
